Nino Farina 🇮🇹 age 44 years

 Nino Farina is the first World Champion in the history of Formula 1

He won after a tough battle with Fangio and Fagioli.

Juan Manuel Fangio 🇦🇷 age 39 years

 

The points awarded were 8 to the first place, 6 to the second, 4 to the third, 3 to the fourth, 2 to the fifth and 1 point to the author of the fastest lap during the race. 

The AlfaRomeo drivers dominated the season with the Alfetta 158.

Luigi Fagioli 🇮🇹 age 52 years

Louis Rosier 🇫🇷 age 45 years

Alberto Ascari 🇮🇹 age 32 years

Also at the start were the Thai Prince, Prince Bira and the Monegasque Louis Chiron to whom Bugatti dedicated the name to its supercar and who was also the oldest driver to participate in a Grand Prix.

They were only occasionally bothered by Alberto Ascari in the Ferrari, who finished fifth, and by the Frenchman Louis Rosier in the Talbot who came in fourth. 

Many American drivers at the start, however, only participated in the Indianapolis 500.
